Students will cover the following topics during this course:

• Identify the geographic applicability of MMS SEMP
• Define the acronym SEMP
• Discuss contractor employer obligations in SEMP
• Discuss host employer obligation in SEMP
• Discuss what a contractor employee is expected to do to assist with SEMP compliance

In addition to presentation of the course material, the following must be done to fulfill the regulatory requirements:

• Site-specific emergency response training
• Job-specific process and safety training
• Documented verification that the employee is capable of performing their job safely (written test and/or skills demonstration)
